Once, there was a wooden village, nestled at the edge of a dark and magical forest. Beyond the trees lay a sparkling world of ice and snow, where the northern lights dancedacross the sky in all their colourful majesty. It was in this land that Gunda was born.
Gunda believed she was an ordinary schoolgirl. She didn’t yet know the extraordinary power hidden within her – a power believed to be possessed only by the great Sorcerer who lives deep in the forest, speaking with owls, wolves, and bears.
One day, Gunda discovers that the Sorcerer is searching for an apprentice. Sparks fly when she realises she has competition for the role, and she is plunged into an exciting and dangerous adventure to save her family – and her right to become…The Sorcerer’s Apprentice!
Featuring original music, magic, and mayhem, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is a spectacular, dramatic, and fun-filled theatrical adventure for the whole family.
Featuring in Belfast International Arts Festival 2026.
